Purpose of the Symposium

Since our establishment, the Smart Food Chain Consortium* has worked extensively on the research and development of a global data platform to optimize the production, distribution, and consumption of agricultural products and foods.

To share and discuss issues salient to our efforts and gather information and knowledge to facilitate the global advancement and future of smart food chains, we will host the first International Smart Food Chain Symposium on November 5th, 2020. Topics will include the effects on business and distribution economics, as well as COVID-19 and other food safety-related issues.

The Symposium will feature a keynote speech by Doctor Rosa Rolle of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as well as online poster sessions and a panel discussion with speakers joining from Thailand and Vietnam.

We hope you will join us to discuss issues concerning food safety and the connectivity of food data.
